A youth non-profit inspired by flash mobs and the #Occupy movement!

We are India's first youth non-profit that has been modeled on the social movements that inspire us. We work just like a flash mob would, organizing workshops and movements within 24 hours and then disbanding as soon as our desired goal for that movement is met.

To reduce overheads and make it frictionless for people to participate, we use platforms that all of us are familiar with – Facebook, Google Hangouts and Skype group chats to hold meetings and set the agenda for all things disaster management.

Crucial Moments was created with one vision - to improve the lives and livelihoods of all of society's stakeholders, particularly the ones who need the most help. Using the number one asset at our disposal – we seek to spread as much information as possible about managing naturally occurring disasters in the NCR.

Before we invite our partners to come in and impart knowledge about disaster management, we go out an create awareness towards the need for disaster management and relief.

Become a Volunteer

Before a single disaster management seminar is held, there needs to be awareness of Disaster Management and Relief as a concept. Often, the demographic that needs the seminars the most is the one that is left behind.

As a CMV, you will help raise invaluable awareness amongst the improvised areas of the NCR.

If you would like to help us do that in any form, whether it is designing posters or hashing out our social marketing strategy, please feel free to get in touch. As a bootstrapped organization, we rely heavily on word of mouth marketing, and would greatly appreciate your help with spreading awareness about DRR.

Use the Ushahidi platform to create a real-time DRR monitor.
Create a DRR course in a slide deck to assist DRR volunteers.
